The former 'Baywatch' star takes to Instagram to share a video of her shaving her own head after revealing that she was diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma

AceShowbiz - Nicole Eggert has shaved her head amid her battle with a very rare from of breast cancer. Having been candid about her journey to fight the disease, the actress has debuted her new look via social media.
On Thursday, March 14, the 52-year-old made use of her Instagram page to share a video of her shaving her own head. The clip opened with her still sporting her short hair before she showed an electric razor in her hand and bravely shaved off her pixie haircut.
The former "Baywatch" star was then joined by one of her daughters, who helped her get rid of her hair. Nicole took back the razor in the end and gave a finishing touch to her now-bald head. Looking pleased with the result, she flashed a smile and touched her head before posing for the camera.
In the caption, the actress shared a quote that perhaps explained her decision to embrace her new look. "Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are - Madeleine Eames," it read.
Nicole revealed in December 2023 that she was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive cribriform carcinoma of the breast. She initially mistook her symptoms to be signs of the menopause until she found the lump. She told PEOPLE, "It really was throbbing and hurting."
"I immediately went to my general practitioner and she told me I had to immediately go get it looked at. But the problem was I just couldn't get an appointment. Everything was booked. So I had to wait until the end of November to get it done," she explained. "This journey's been rough for me. This hasn't been a breezy sale through life. I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through."
The former "Charles in Charge" star, who has Dilyn, 25, with ex-Justin Herwick as well as 12-year-old Keegan from a different relationship, vowed to fight the decease for the sake of her children, especially her youngest.
"[Dilyn's] an adult, but I have a 12-year-old at home where I'm the only caregiver," she said. "I have no family. I have nothing. It immediately made me realize, there's just no succumbing to this. This is something I have to get through. This is something that I have to beat. She needs me more than anything and anybody."
But that wasn't all. In February of this year, Nicole said that there is more cancer in her lymph nodes. Of the devastating diagnosis, she admitted, "My heart dropped, I lost all hearing, everything sank."
