After Wendy's aphasia and dementia diagnosis was revealed, LaShawn Thomas questions her current care team as the star's health deteriorated so fast after being placed in a guardianship.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams' former attorney LaShawn Thomas has spoken out about the former TV personality's current health condition. After Wendy's aphasia and dementia diagnosis was revealed, LaShawn questioned her current care team as the star's health deteriorated so fast after being placed in a guardianship.

On Saturday, February 24, LaShawn shared an old video of Wendy looking healthy while sitting in a bed. In the clip, which was taken two weeks before she's ordered by the court to move back to New York to be placed under a guardianship, the former host of "The Wendy Williams Show" revealed that she enjoyed working out at the gym, adding, "You know, I do what I can."

Meanwhile, the celebrity attorney wrote in the caption, "You can clearly see the difference between Wendy's well-being during her time here in Florida with her son caring for her and her lack thereof in New York under this 'guardianship.' "

The Miami Entertainment Law Group attorney continued, "These Wendys are not the same. How did her health deteriorate so quickly, and why isn't her only child allowed to be by her side. She wasn't like that when he cared for [her]." She added, "If Wendy's diagnosis is true, now more than ever, her son should be allowed that same grace. He deserves it … and most importantly, Wendy deserves it."

The post came after Wendy's family opened up on how hard it was for them to reach out to the radio personality. "The people who love her cannot see her," Wendy's sister, Wanda Finne, told PEOPLE earlier this week. "How the hell did we get here?"

She added, "We cannot reach out to her, but she can reach out to us. And she is in a healing place emotionally. She's not the person you see in this film."

On the other hand, Wendy recently broke her silence in a statement, thanking fans for the love and support following her Aphasia and Frontotemporal Dementia diagnosis. "I want to say I have immense gratitude for the love and kind words I have received after sharing my diagnosis of Aphasia and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD)," she shared to PEOPLE. "Let me say, wow! Your response has been overwhelming."

The former daytime talk show queen added, "The messages shared with me have touched me, reminding me of the power of unity and the need for compassion. I hope that others with FTD may benefit from my story." Concluding her message, Wendy noted, "I continue to need personal space and peace to thrive. Please just know that your positivity and encouragement are deeply appreciated."
