It is, however, unknown if the 'Love in this Club' hitmaker, who recently tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea, will star on the planned series.

AceShowbiz - Usher is developing a new TV show. Following his acclaimed Super Bowl LVIII halftime performance on Sunday, February 11, the R&B singer is set to bring his music to the small screen through his new project.

In a statement to Variety, Usher said, "My 30-year catalog has resonated with so many people no matter where they were in their lives." The eight-time Grammy winner, who partners with UCP for the series, added, "I'm happy to be working with UCP to bring the music to life. I hope the series resonates with you the way my music continues to."

According to the official logline, the planned series is set to tell a story about "Black love in Atlanta and individuals looking to find a place to call home. The series will explore music, style, sex, romance and secrets that threaten to tear relationships apart."

Serving as executive producers on the show are Selwyn Seyfu Hinds and Katie Zucker (Mad Massive Entertainment). Kenny Meiselas also executive produces for KMei Productions.

It's currently unknown if Usher, who recently tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea, will star on the series. There's a high chance for that since the "My Boo" hitmaker is no stranger in making an appearance in dozens of films and TV shows.

The news came after Usher took the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. During his highly-anticipated performance, the 45-year-old treated fans to his hits including "My Boo", "Caught Up", "U Don't Have to Call", "Superstar", "Love in this Club" and "Yeah!". He also shared stage with several guests such as Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Lil Jon, Ludacris and will.i.am.

That aside, Usher is set to embark on "Past Present Future" tour. He is slated to hold 24 concerts in 15 different states, including New York, California and Florida, in North America. He will kick off the tour at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. on August 20.

"U ready for me? Presenting USHER: PAST PRESENT FUTURE, starting August 2024!" he announced on February 6. "Tickets on sale Monday, Feb 12 @ 10am local. Sign up for the fan presale starting Friday, Feb 9 @ 10am | Link In Bio."
