The R&B artist and his longtime girlfriend married in Las Vegas following his Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show on Sunday, February 11, PEOPLE has confirmed. The couple allegedly exchanged vows at the Terrace Gazebo, an outdoor wedding chapel that seats 30 guests. Usher's mother Jonetta Patton became the witness, according to the marriage certificate.
TMZ shared further details of Usher and Jennifer's wedding, revealing that the ceremony was officiated by Rev. Ronald Joseph Pokrywka. In a statement to the site, Melody Willis-Williams, president of Vegas Weddings, celebrated the couple's marriage.
She said, "Congratulations to the Newlyweds! What a great game and Usher's performance was phenomenal! We were beyond thrilled to host in this epic day for Usher and his new wife. As much as we love, love, this is the couple's news to share any further details on. We'll always be fans of Usher! Yeah!"
Just hours after the intimate nuptials, the newlyweds stepped out for a release party for the Grammy winner's new album "Coming Home" at Cathedrale. At the event, the twosome put on a very cozy display as they hugged and draped their hands around each other while mingling with guests at the party.
The 45-year-old singer flashed a gold band which he wore on his left ring finger. He proudly flashed his new ring while wearing a black glove on his ring hand. Meanwhile, Jennifer's left ring finger was concealed under a white glove.
For the album release party, the twosome went matching in white outfits. Usher rocked a fuzzy white coat over a white shirt, a black vest and pants. He also put on a pair of dark shades. As for Jennifer, she looked chic in a white off-the shoulder white blouse and matching pants. She also added a pair of stylish sunglasses despite being inside.
Daily Mail previously reported that Usher obtained a marriage license in Clark County on February 8, three days before his highly-anticipated Super Bowl performance. A source told the outlet that the "You Make Me Wanna..." hitmaker made the decision to tie the knot with Jennifer after taking advice from his spiritual advisor Amba Kahly Su.
Usher reportedly reportedly started dating Jennifer in October 2019. Together, they welcomed a daughter, Sovereign Bo, in September 2020 and son Sire Castrello in September 2021.
He was previously married to stylist Tameka Foster from 2007 until 2009. The former spouses share sons Usher V, 16, and Naviyd, 15. He then moved on with Grace Miguel, whom he quietly married in 2015. In March 2018, the former pair announced their separation. Usher doesn't have a child from his second marriage.
