The Kansas City Chiefs tight end discusses the tense moment in a chat with his brother Jason Kelce, who calls him out for crossing the line and being 'over the top.'

AceShowbiz - Travis Kelce apparently has had a reflective moment following his outburst during the Super Bowl LVIII. Prior to his team's win, the athlete got frustrated during the game against the San Francisco 49ers and vented his feelings by yelling at and bumping into head coach Andy Reid, which he now found "unacceptable."

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end discussed the tense moment in a new episode of his "New Heights" podcast alongside his brother Jason Kelce. Admitting that he went too far at the moment, he said, "I can't get that fired up to the point where bumping Coach and it's getting him off balance and stuff. When he stumbled, I was like: 'Aw, s**t' in my head."

Jason did not hold back from calling out his brother, saying, "You crossed the line, I think we can both agree on that." The Philadelphia Eaglaes player, who watched the 2024 Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium with his family, Taylor Swift and her family in support of Travis, added, "Even the yelling in his face, too, is over the top. I think there's better ways to handle this, retrospectively."

During the Sunday, February 11 match against the 49ers, Travis got frustrated when his team fumbled away the best chance to score a touchdown. Travis, who watched from the sideline, screamed in Andy's fan and body slammed his coach, who momentarily lost his balance, before grabbing his arm and shouting back at the athlete.

Andy, however, has no hard feelings despite Travis' outburst. In a post-game interview with CBS, he joked about the moment, "He keeps me young." He added, "He caught me off-balance. Normally I get him a little bit, but I didn't have any feet under me."

"(Travis) loves to play the game and he loves to help his team win. It's not a selfish thing. As much he bumps into me, I get after him. We understand that," the coach stressed. As for Travis, he told reporters about their brief clash, "Ah, you guys saw that? I'm a keep that between us unless my mic'd up tells the world. I was just telling him how much I love him."

Former NFL star Tom Brady has also weighed on the controversy. On his own podcast "Let's Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray", he said, "Emotions are so high. You are definitely not centered and balanced. You're not in a meditative state at that point. You are fully determined to go out there and to win. So I think a lot of the things that are said during the games, people should just let them fly off their back."

The 46-year-old also praised Andy for keeping his cool during the heated moment. "Coach Reid handled it just awesome, like he always does, 'cause he just said, 'I was a little off balance and Travis is such a competitor,' " the podcaster added. "I love that because it just speaks to his leadership ability. It speaks to the self-confidence that Coach Reid has in himself, too, 'cause he doesn't take that personally at all. He doesn't look at that and feel like someone offended him."
