She also notes that the guy, who tricked her into thinking that he was the quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams, gave her a pet name which she didn't seem to appreciate.

AceShowbiz - Drew Barrymore doesn't have the best experience with dating apps. In a new episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show", the "Charlie's Angels" actress claimed that a suitor tricked her by claiming that he's an NFL player.

"This guy on my dating app said he was the quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams," she revealed to co-host Ross Mathews in the Friday, January 26 episode of her talk show. "So, I wrote to him and I was like, 'Oh my God, I went to the first practice game.' "

The host went on to say, "He was not the quarterback for the L.A. Rams - he's a musician that thought he was being cute. How should I feel about this?"

She further noted that the guy gave her a pet name which she didn't seem to appreciate. "The guy was like, 'Hey, Drewski,' and I was like, 'I hate you … You pithy, deceiving, playful - you've made me feel stupid,' " she ranted. " 'I don't know who you are. I feel so dumb. Why did we have to get off on this foot? I hate you!' "

Drew, who has never been a fan of dating apps to begin with, appeared to suggest that it was her last straw. "Every time I get on there it does not feel great. I always last five days. And this time my app has changed where it shows people like you so it's very flattering ... but I don't know who anyone is, and it just feels scary to go out with a stranger," the "Never Been Kissed" star said.

"Newsflash, that is how they work!" Ross responded. "You're not supposed to know them. You don't go on a dating app to meet people you already know."

This wasn't the first time Drew, who got divorced from art consultant Will Kopelman in 2016, complained about dating apps. In 2020, Drew claimed that she was ghosted by "a lot of people."

However, the mom of two decided to be back in the dating game in December 2022 because she's "too good at being alone." Shockingly, Drew revealed last October that she had been seeing someone off and on for three years.
