Hollywood icon Drew Barrymore reveals the emotional toll of her divorce while navigating co-parenting with her ex-husband, expressing her continued struggle to fully recover.

AceShowbiz - Drew Barrymore has revealed that her divorce from ex-husband Will Kopelman in 2016 has had a profound impact on her. In a candid conversation on "The Drew Barrymore Show", the 49-year-old actress admitted that she still feels the effects of the split.

"I don't think I have fully recovered from that in the sense of I just... I was so invested in that plan," Barrymore said to guests Joy Behar and Susie Essman.

Despite their divorce, Barrymore and Kopelman have remained on friendly terms as they co-parent their daughters, Frankie and Olive. Barrymore emphasized that they have "grown a lot through the last 14 years of our union with our kids."

Behar, who also went through a divorce, expressed her sympathy and stressed that divorce can be challenging. "It's a drag," she said. "It destroyed me," Barrymore agreed.

Barrymore's guests advised her that she needs a partner who understands and supports her career. "You need a secure guy," said Essman, adding that she needs someone who is comfortable with the attention she receives as a celebrity.

Behar chimed in, "And doesn't compete with you." They suggested that Barrymore avoid actors and focus on finding a partner outside of Hollywood, such as a doctor or a teacher.

Barrymore acknowledged the importance of finding a compatible partner and expressed her willingness to seek dating assistance from Behar. "Call us," Behar said. "You call me anytime."
