The reality TV star expresses her excitement for 'this next chapter' with the fashion house despite claiming that she's 're-evaluating' her relationship with the brand in 2022.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has been announced as the new brand ambassador for Balenciaga. The big announcement was made on Monday, January 22 with the reality TV star expressing her excitement for "this next chapter" with the fashion house.
In a statement shared on the brand's Instagram Story, "The Kardashians" star wrote, "For several years now, Balenciaga’s designs have been a part of my many looks - and some of my most iconic fashion moments. This historic fashion house embraces modernity, craftsmanship and takes an innovative approach to design under Demna."
She went on to say, "For me, this long-standing relationship is built on mutual trust and a commitment to doing what's right. I'm excited about this next chapter for the brand and to become their ambassador."
The appointment came more than a year after Kim shared that she's distancing herself from the French brand in the wake of controversy over a BDSM-themed campaign involving children. After remaining mum for a while, the beauty and fashion mogul said in a statement at the time, "I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven't been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened."
Kim, who shares North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West, added, "As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society - period."
In a follow-up statement, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum stated, "As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with - & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children."
