The reality TV personality confirms that his son tragically died from overdosing on fentanyl and he appears to blame it on drugs being able to cross the borders.

AceShowbiz - Rick Harrison raises an issue with border crisis following his son Adam Harrison's death. While revealing his son's cause of death, the "Pawn Stars" lead blames the lack of security on the borders that allegedly gives opportunity for people to smuggle drugs.
Rick said in a statement through his representative on Monday, January 22, "Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose." He went on venting his frustration, "The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better."
Adam passed away on Friday, January 19 at the age of 39. At the time, the cause of death was only revealed as an overdose. Rick's representative Laura Herlovich said, "Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss."
Later that day, Rick paid tribute to his son on Instagram. He let out a picture of him and his late son smiling at a bar and wrote in the caption, "You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam."
Also honoring Adam was his older brother Corey Harrison. Posting a throwback image of the two playing in a bathtub together as children, he penned, "Wax wtf I will always love you bubba."
Adam is one of Rick's three kids and his second son with his first wife Kim. Adam and Corey share the same mother. Rick then remarried his second wife Tracy and the former couple had one son, Jake.
Following his divorce from Tracy, Rick got engaged to Deanna Burditt, who was also twice divorced, in 2012. The couple got married in July 2013 in Laguna Beach, California, but it also ended in a divorce in September 2020. In 2021, the owner of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop married Amanda Palmer.
