AceShowbiz - Kaley Cuoco has broken her silence on "The Flight Attendant" cancellation. Although the show has been canceled after two seasons, the actress said she's so "grateful" to have worked on the project.

"What started out as an attention-grabbing book cover quickly evolved into an extraordinary flight of a lifetime," the 38-year-old, who also served as a producer for the show, wrote in a statement shared with PEOPLE. "I always envisioned TFA as a limited series and thanks to an incredible creative team, we were able to deliver two thrilling seasons."

"Personally, playing Cassie has been a dream come true," she added. "And I am so grateful for everyone who played a part in bringing this extremely original series to life."

On the dark comedy drama mystery thriller, Kaley portrays Cassandra "Cassie" Bowden, an unstable flight attendant entangled in a murder. With her role, "The Big Bang Theory" alum scored two Emmy Award nominations in 2021 and 2022.

Steve Yockey, the show's showrunner and executive producer, also got candid about his time on the Kaley-led series. "The Flight Attendant was a true passion project and the reception from viewers and critics alike was pretty stunning," he said.

"Our unorthodox spectacle of a show really found people," Steve continued. "As we all move on to new projects, those two seasons of television and the incredible team of professionals behind them will always stay at the top of my list."

The first season of "The Flight Attendant", which is based on Chris Bohjalian's eponymous novel, debuted on Max in 2020. Its second installment, meanwhile, aired in 2022. Aside from Kaley, the series starred the likes of Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz and Rosie Perez.

Kaley did reveal in May 2022 that there was no plan for a third season. "Now, I'm like, 'Well, we did two. We should probably be done.' And I think I've been outnumbered with that thought," she told PEOPLE at the time. "There's definitely interest in doing a third season. I think for me, at this moment, the plane has landed."
