AceShowbiz - Saweetie and YG have gone their separate ways. If a new report is to be believed, the "Icy Girl" raptress and the "Who Do You Love?" emcee have broken up after dating less than a year.
According to The Shade Room, the 30-year-old femcee and the rapper split because they're "both busy with their careers, and that's where their focus is at this time." A source told the outlet that "this was a mutual decision and the two both feel as though they'd be better off as friends."
Saweetie and YG were first rumored to be romantically linked to each other after they were caught getting cozy at Rolling Loud California in March 2023. Fueling the dating speculation, they were spotted dining at the same restaurant in California back in April.
In May, the couple was caught packing on the PDA during their romantic getaway in Mexico. In July, YG also helped Saweetie celebrate her 30th birthday at Poppy in West Hollywood. Later in the same month, they were pictured walking hand-in-hand when stepping out for a dinner date at Craig's in Los Angeles.
It was not until August that the then-couple went public with their romance. The 33-year-old rhymer confirmed their relationship via Instagram Story by sharing a picture of him and the "Best Friend" hitmaker together for the first time.
In the image, Saweetie and YG got cozy while sitting in the backseat of a car. Seemingly matching in black, Saweetie wrapped her hands around her beau's neck and face while putting their heads close to each other. YG put no caption on the photo, seemingly letting the picture do the talking.
Saweetie was previously in a relationship with Quavo. She was dating the Migos star from September 2018 until she confirmed their split in March 2021.
