The London-born rapper reveals his third solo LP, which serves as the highly anticipated follow-up to his 2018's 'I Am I Was', will arrive in both the U.K. and the U.S. on Friday, January 12

AceShowbiz - 21 Savage is releasing his first album in almost six years this week. The British-born rapper, who was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, has announced his latest LP "American Dream", the highly anticipated follow-up to 2018's "I Am I Was", will drop on Friday, January 12.

Alongside U.K. and United States flags, he wrote on Instagram, "My 3rd solo album AMERICAN DREAM this Friday."

The artwork for the new collection features references to his non-U.S. citizenship, having being born in London to British parents with Caribbean roots. He moved to the U.S. with his mother at the age of seven, and the album cover includes a childhood photo of Savage, real name Sheyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, and details of his immigrant visa.

The track listing is yet to be revealed, but the rapper has revealed that Young Thug, Brent Faiyaz and Summer Walker will all appear on the record. Earlier this week, he released the trailer for upcoming biopic "American Dream: The 21 Savage Story", which has been co-directed by "Atlanta" collaborators Stephen Glover, Jamal Olori and Fam Udeorji.

Donald Glover appeared alongside "Stranger Things" star Calbe McLaughlin, who both played the rapper at different ages. The video also serves as a music video for an as yet unnamed track, which is likely to appear on Savage's new album.

The musician's manager Meezy recently gave a coy update on the album, and admitted even the mixes weren't back set. Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine for the January 2024 issue, he said, "He damn near don't even like the fact that we be listening to it. That's why he said it is not mixed. It might sound small, but it's a really big deal for him."
