AceShowbiz - JT appeared to have hinted that she has a new song coming really soon. A few days after vowing to make "good songs" in 2024, the one-half of hip-hop duo City Girls surprised her devotees with a preview of her upcoming single titled "Sideways".
On Wednesday, January 10, the 31-year-old hip-hop artist made use of her Instagram page to release the preview of the track after sharing it via TikTok one day prior. She uploaded a video of herself in what appeared to be her house. In the clip, it could be heard that the forthcoming song was being played in the background.
On the track, JT, whose real name is Jatavia Shakara Johnson, raps, "I don't f**k with y'all b***hes/ Try to take who? It ain't enough for y'all b***hes." She continues, "H*es so phony got me looking at them sideways/ Pretty in the face but my attitude stank/ Either way these n***as still going to the bank."
In the video, the "Act Up" raptress, who looked stunning in a skin-tight long-sleeved black mini dress, was documented striking a number of poses while listening to her own song. At one point, she was filmed playing with her long black hair before pouting her lips and rolling both of her eyes.
That same day, the clip was reshared by a blog on its Instagram account. The post was quickly flooded with supportive online responses from JT's fans. In the comments section, one in particular reminded the artist, "She needs to drop it now while it's in demand! She no bars too late! It did well but I personally think it would've did better if she dropped it sooner."
In the meantime, another penned, "I'm happy that she's venturing off solo because she is a RAPPER. I love JT!!!! Love Caresha (Yung Miami) too, but J.T. I'm ready for all the music!! like Nicki Minaj told you, come in the game and RAP."
The upcoming song's preview came a few days after JT went public with one of her New Year's resolutions related to her music. "Sideways is a song not a verse & in 2024 I want to go from 'JT has good verses!' to 'JT make good songs !!' " she declared via X, formerly known as Twitter, on January 1.
