The one-half of City Girls makes the declaration months after she released a freestyle when launching No Bars Reform to help formerly incarcerated women.

AceShowbiz - JT has opened up about one of her New Year's resolutions. Turning to X (formerly Twitter), the one-half of City Girls declared that she will not only make "good verses" in 2024 but also "good songs."

The female rapper made the declaration when responding to a fan who wrote, "JT ate that sideways verse." In response, she penned, "Sideways is a song not a verse & in 2024 I want to go from 'JT has good verses!' to 'JT make good songs !!' "

Fans were mostly supportive of her. "well babe you gotta actually drop the songs," one person replied. "well drop the song jatavia!" another person agreed.

JT even gave fans a snippet of her new music through her Instagram Story. "Paradise, paradise, paradise," she sings repeatedly in the preview. "I won't tell my friends about you."

JT's post arrived months after she launched No Bars Reform to help formerly incarcerated women. When celebrating the moment, the raptress treated fans to a freestyle under the same name with the hope of getting the respect she feels she deserves.

Of the song, JT explained in a statement, "No bars is a freestyle I made in the studio when I was having one of those days." She added, "At the time like most of the time ppl were doubting me and questioning why I wasn't as visual and vocal as others! Not knowing me personally."

"I'd read the craziest things about myself and would want to scream but instead I went to the studio and popped my s**t! I know most of y'all heard it but for those who haven't, I hope this freestyle finds you in a great place and is a start of the respect I deserve in music. I love music! I love my voice! I love poppin my s**t," JT continued. "It's only ME VS. ANXIETY…"

On what inspired her to create the non-profit organization, JT elaborated on its website, "After spending almost two years in a Florida Prison before being released in 2020, [I have] vowed to use her voice and platform to help other incarcerated women rehabilitate into society by assisting with resources such as therapy, job placement, social services, and housing."
