Instead of addressing criticism over his prerecorded New Year's Eve gig, the 'Doin' What She Likes' singer takes to social media to brag about his gift from Kubota.

AceShowbiz - Blake Shelton is feeling extra happy in early 2024 despite backlash over his New Year's Eve performance. Not letting the criticism dampen his spirits, the country music star has bragged about his gift from Kubota on social media.

On Monday, January 1, the former "The Voice" coach made use of his Instagram account to show off his brand new RTV from the Japanese company. In a clip which he recorded and shared to his followers, he revealed the Rugged Terrain Vehicle which was seemingly delivered to his ranch.

"I hate it when people brag about their Christmas gifts. But look what I got from Kubota. Whoa! I love you!" the 47-year-old said behind the camera while pointing to the RTV. He then gave a closer look at the vehicle while exclaiming, "Look at that, I don't even want to get it dirty. It's the new RTV X1140. Oh my god, power steering, I love it!"

"New year, new Kubota!!!!! Woohoo!!! Thanks y'all!!!!! #kubota #kubotacountry," Blake captioned the video.

Blake's New Year's Day post seemingly hinted that he's unfazed despite the criticism over his NYE performance. The country music star was featured on CBS's "New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash" in what was billed as a live show, but viewers were enraged upon finding out that it was prerecorded.

Taking to social media, people didn't mince their words when slamming Blake over the TV gig. "How's Blake Shelton 'live' in Nashville for CBS Nashville New Year's Eve when he's about to go on stage at WinStar in five minutes? He must have one fast a** tour bus," one person sarcastically wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Another went as far as calling Blake "an embarrassment to country music." The second critic penned, "CBSNashvilleNYE WTF is this? Thomas Rhett and Blake Shelton sound like absolute a**. This is an embarrassment to country music."

"So, @CBS just saw promo about New Year's Eve celebration in Nashville live. List of celebs including Blake Shelton but he is performing in Oklahoma tonight. So will you be going live this concert or are some segments pre recorded?" another asked.

Blake performed with Trace Adkins during the CBS special. Meanwhile, he performed live at Oklahoma's WinStar Casino on the same night.
