In an interview, the country star reveals that the idea of 'Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas', which will take place from February 5 until February 15, has been 'swirling for years now.'

AceShowbiz - Blake Shelton seemed to have put smiles on his fans' faces with a new announcement. Taking to Instagram, "The Voice" coach revealed that he will entertain his devotees at his upcoming residency in Las Vegas.

"I've been so excited to share this news with y'all.. VEGAS!!!!! We're coming to The Colosseum at @caesarspalace this February," the 48-year-old wrote in the Thursday, August 8 post. "Tickets go on-sale to the public Friday, August 16th, but y'all can sign up for exclusive presale access at link in bio."

In a statement, Blake said, "We've been talking about a Vegas residency for a few years, and all the pieces just came together for a run next year." He added, "The Colosseum is such an iconic venue, and I'm excited to bring some honky-tonk neon to the Palace."

The residency will take place from February 5 until February 15. In an interview with PEOPLE, the country star revealed that the idea of "Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas" has been "swirling for years now."

"And ever since the idea was first floated about opening an Ole Red in Las Vegas, this conversation has been happening too," he said, referring to his live music bar. "If you're going to have a stake in Las Vegas, you got to do a residency also if you're an artist... I've just been kicking the can down the road because I wanted the Ole Red to be open before I did it."

Blake opened his sixth and largest Ole Red location in Las Vegas back in April. He started a week of grand opening celebrations with a private concert, where he was joined by his wife Gwen Stefani.

"I know Las Vegas has been a big destination for cowboys, but not until tonight has there been a destination for absolute hillbillies," Blake told the crowd while onstage at the restaurant and music venue. "And now we got it!"
