The 'Boys and Girls' actress speaks up about her breakup from the incarcerated rapper a little over a month after she posted a picture with her new boo Anthony Wilson.

AceShowbiz - Monica is not ashamed of her "mistakes" as she has opened up about her split from C-Murder. Having been romantically linked to another man for several months now, the singer/actress admits to have learned a lesson from her past relationship with the incarcerated rapper.

According to Gossip of the City, the "Angel of Mine" hitmaker got questions about where things stood between her and C-Murder right now after she posted a picture with her new boo Anthony Wilson. Responding to the inquiry, she admitted that she got her heart broken following the split, but she has moved on.

"Well, here it is in short ! I got my heartbroken (again) and that's ok!" she wrote in the comment of an Instagram post. "I learned yet another valuable lesson! I went through it, got over it, now I can laugh about it! Life continues! I feel great that through it he has representation to one day be free! Let's move forward!"

After it was posted on The Neighborhood Talk's Instagram account, Monica was roasted for dating C-Murder and getting her heart broken by the man who is in jail. "That N***a In jail . What he do , write someone else ?" one person quipped.

"She must've ran into the other woman during visitation..," another user speculated. A third weighed in as writing, "HEART BROKEN BY A N***A IN JAIL IS INSANE."

Apparently catching wind of the reactions, Monica later took to the comments section of the post to share her positive attitude. "I've always been unashamed of my mistakes! It's LIFE, most of you are simply ashamed to say you've actually been there as well but I'll take the heat I can handle it," she insisted.

Monica's IG Comment

Monica insisted she's unashamed of her mistakes after opening up about split from C-Murder.

Monica fueled a speculation she rekindled her romance with C-Murder by sharing a photo of her visiting him in jail in April 2022. In the since-deleted picture, she was seen cozying up to the rapper, who was found guilty of beating and shooting a 16-year-old in September 2003.

However, since June of this year, Monica has been rumored to be romantically linked to Anthony. At the time, the two were seen at her son's basketball game in Cleveland. Seemingly going public with their relationship, on October 24, Chris Brown's manager posted a sweet shout-out to the singer on her 42nd birthday.

He took to his Instagram Stories to share several pictures of him and the birthday girl. "Happy birthday babe @monicadenise," he captioned a black-white-picture of the two of them, while he simply added heart emojis to the other two photos.

Thanking her man for his sweet gesture all the time, she reposted one of his Stories and wrote in the caption, "Thank You my love. You've treated me like everyday was my birthday...."
