While she didn't detail why she felt remorseful, the musician reportedly considered cutting the final song during 'The Scarlet Tour' stop at New York's Barclays Center the night prior.

AceShowbiz - Doja Cat doesn't want to disappoint fans who attended her latest show in New Jersey. Following her performance at Prudential Center, the "Kiss Me More" hitmaker took to social media to issue a public apology.

Turning to her Instagram Story, the 28-year-old singer/femcee shared a random photo of a crushed-up chip. She kicked off her message by writing, "I'm so f**kin sorry New Jersey."

"I don't know what the f**k that was," the Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, continued. "I'm really not happy with my energy tonight."

Doja did not offer more details as to why she felt remorseful. However, according to Rolling Stone, the musician seemed to consider cutting the final song during "The Scarlet Tour" stop at New York's Barclays Center because she was sick.

Doja has the remaining seven shows of "The Scarlet Tour", which began on October 31 in San Francisco. She is set to perform again on Saturday, December 2, in Boston at TD Garden before heading to Columbus, Minneapolis, Omaha, Detroit and Toronto. The tour closes out on December 13 in Chicago.

In October, Doja divulged that "Scarlet" was not the original name she chose for her album. "I don't care about the meaning being so deep, as much as the word being a cool word. I just like good words. I thought 'Hellmouth' was cool … it's like the gates of hell. But that felt so aggressive to me after a while, and I don't know if I even like it anymore," she explained on the "Hot Ones" YouTube show.

"I change my mind constantly. And 'Scarlet' felt like the right thing to do, because it's kind of an ode to 'Hot Pink'," she added. "I did the name of a colour, but it's not really; you think of Scarlett as someone's first name, and not as a colour. That was kind of the twist to it. And also red is just a passionate shade."
