AceShowbiz - Whoopi Goldberg proves that she's a fan of Dolly Parton. In the latest episode of "The View", the TV host defended the music icon against those who criticized her cheerleader outfit during the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game against the Washington Commanders.

The 68-year-old showed support for the singer when weighing in on the latter's performance at The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show. "Apparently, my turkey wasn't the only thing online that people were hating," she began.

"Seventy-seven-year-old superstar Dolly Parton stole the show on Thanksgiving at the Cowboys/Commanders game dressed as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, but some critics told her to act her age," Whoopi continued. "Bite me."

Her co-host Sunny Hostin then chimed in, "If I looked like that in one of them Cowboy things, I might have everything out." She then added, "I don't know if that's a belly ring or what, but I want what she has."

During her gig, Dolly flaunted her age-defying look in a blue crop top that came with a plunging neckline and two long balloon sleeves. Over it, she put on a white vest that had blue star embellishments. She also donned a pair of white mini pants with similar blue decorations. In addition, her full makeup consisted of bold blue eyeshadow and bright pink lipstick. Meanwhile, her long fingernails were polished in a bright red color.

While most people praised Dolly's revealing outfit, others took issue with it. Making use of X, one of them wrote that the get-up was meant to be worn by "a 17-year-old not for a 77-year-old." Similarly, another user said that the ensemble was "a little inappropriate."
