AceShowbiz - Shakira has gone daring in a recent public event. When making an appearance at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards, the "Hips Don't Lie" hitmaker opted to wear a black-and-gold dress with several cut-outs and a slit.
On Thursday, November 16, the 46-year-old Colombian superstar looked stunning when she hit the red carpet of the awards show, which took place at the Conference and Exhibition Centre in Seville, Spain. She donned a black dress that came with gold embellishments on its upper part. The gown, which was long enough to trail down her back, had two gold straps, two cut-outs that exposed the wearer's waist and thigh-high slit on one of her legs.
To complete the look, Shakira put on a pair of strappy gold open-toe platform high heels, a pair of earrings and a number of rings. She styled her long blonde hair into loose waves and parted it to the side. In addition, she looked fresh with full makeup, including a pink lipstick, long lashes and thick eyeliner.
During the event, the "Whenever, Wherever" singer entertained the attendees by delivering one of her hits titled "Acrostico". For her performance on stage, she changed into a shimmering long gold dress with a high slit from Dolce & Gabbana. To match the gown, she held a gold-covered microphone.
The performance was emotional as it featured a pre-recorded video of Shakira's two sons, 10-year-old Milan and 8-year-old Sasha. She appeared on the stage, which was surrounded by a number of mirrors and eye-catching lighting, and began walking to the center. At one point, the footage of Milan and Sasha singing the lyrics of the song "Acrostico" was played. In the meantime, they were proudly cheering on her from their seats.
Later on, Shakira stepped on the stage again as she won the best pop song for her collaborative song "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53". In her acceptance speech, she said, "I want to share this Grammy with my colleagues with whom I have had the pleasure of working and learning. With my Latin audience in Spain, in Colombia, in the United States, in Latin America."
"The Latin public that has taken me to the highest heights, those places I dreamed of since I was a child and to whom I owe everything," the 12-time Latin Grammy Award winner continued. "I also want to share this with my Spanish public who has been with me through thick and thin … who have never stopped giving me love and support for a single day. I will never forget that. This is for you."
Shakira appeared to have brushed shoulders with other famous singers, including Rosalia. On the red carpet, the 31-year-old singer showed off her jaw-dropping figure in a sparkling see-through black lace dress, which was long enough to trail down her back and came with an off-the-shoulder design. She covered her lower asset with a pair of black undies.
Rosalia's former boyfriend and singer Rauw Alejandro also attended the event. He flaunted his chest tattoos in a very low-cut black top, an unbuttoned black blazer and a pair of long matching tailored pants. He also donned a pair of black sunglasses, matching shoes with high heels and a matching leather belt.
