Many social media users are left surprised upon seeing the 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile' actor's face in a new interview for his upcoming film, 'The Iron Claw'.

AceShowbiz - Zac Efron has once again made media headlines with his appearance. Although the actor revealed that he shattered his jaw a few years ago, fans were still left surprised upon seeing his face in a new interview for his upcoming film, "The Iron Claw".
When sitting down with Entertainment Weekly, the 36-year-old was seen having fuller jawlines. It prompted social media users to offer their two cents, with one asking, "What happened to his face??" Another wrote, "What happened to his jaw?" Someone else opined, "His face is huge now."
A third commented, "Damn his face doesn't even move now." A shocked individual penned, "Omg Zach [sic], what happened to You?!" Some people even made jokes, with one writing "I keep thinking there’s a Chad filter on his face. Jeez." Another wrote, "Why does David Hasselhoff look like Zac Efron?" The other person noted, "I'm telling my kids this is Rob Lowe."
Zac first sparked plastic surgery rumors in April 2021 after he participated in Bill Nye's "Earth Day! The Musical" video with Justin Bieber and Dixie D'Amelio. "A big budget musical spectacular? Bill, wow," he said in the clip. "I knew you were smart, but I think you're a genius."
The clip was quick to make its round on Twitter. It prompted one user to compare Zac to The Weeknd from "Save Your Tears" music video. The user noted, "Zac efron is very much giving the weeknd on save your tears." Another echoed, "Zac efron was way toooo inspired by the weekends face shape." A third chimed in, "Holy s**t I can't believe Zac Efron is Handsome Squidward."
It was not until more than a year later that Zac addressed his face transformation. When speaking to Men's Health for the October 2022 cover story, the "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" leading man disclosed that he broke his jaw while running in his house with socks on.
Claiming that he slipped and hit his chin against a granite fountain, Zac noted that he passed out. Once he woke up, his chin bone was "hanging off his face."
