When honoring the late 'Friends' alum during her show, the British singer, who went sober earlier this year, also praised him for getting candid about his alcohol and opioid addiction in his book.

AceShowbiz - Adele took time to pay tribute to Matthew Perry during her Las Vegas residency. When performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday night, October 28, the British singer honored the "Friends" alum by singing her 2015 track, "When We Were Young".

Before singing the song, the 35-year-old remembered how Matthew's character on "Friends", Chandler Bing, impacted her life. "It is always so shocking, especially someone that made you laugh and who brought so much joy to your life that you don't know. This is what I find so strange, I never met him in my life. There is something, you feel so sad about it especially because you don't necessarily know what was going on," she said.

"I'll remember that character for the rest of my life," the Grammy winner, who dressed as Morticia Adams for the Halloween weekend performance, continued. "He's probably the best comedic character of all time."

Adele also recalled her favorite childhood memories. "One of my friends Andrew when I was, like, 12 did the best Chandler impression," she shared. "He would do it all the time to make us laugh and if any of us were having a bad day or feeling low he would just pretend to be Chandler."

Adele, who went sober earlier this year, also praised Matthew for getting candid about his alcohol and opioid addiction in his book. "He was so open with his struggles with addiction and sobriety, which I think is incredibly, incredibly brave," she gushed.

The "Someone Like You" songstress mentioned the late star once again later in the show after she saw her OB-GYN in the audience. "It's a very emotional night," said the musician, who couldn't hold her tears.
