AceShowbiz - Kodak Black proves that he's a loyal supporter of Donald Trump. The "ZEZE" rapper, who received a pardon from the former president in 2021, declared in a new interview that he would gladly give the latter $1 million if he needed it.
The 26-year-old made the statement when appearing on "Drink Champs". In a snippet of his interview, which was shared on Tuesday, October 24, the rap star said, "I f**k with that boy... He a Gemini like me - his birthday two days after my s**t. And that boy, like, he be vibin' out here too."
Co-host N.O.R.E. a.k.a. Noreaga then asked, "So if Trump right now, even though he probably don't need it, if he needed a million dollars, would you give him a million dollars?" In response, the emcee quickly replied, "Of course, n***a... Off top. That ain't even no 'um um um.' 'How you want it? Your people and them finna come grab it?' "
Kodak was released early in January 2021 after then-President Trump commuted his sentence for his 2020 conviction as part of his last-minute pardon spree. The "Wake Up in the Sky" rapper was previously sentenced to 46 months in Kentucky's United States Penitentiary Big Sandy after pleading guilty for unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a firearm.
Upon his release, Kodak turned to Twitter to extend his gratitude to Trump. "I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence," he wrote at that time. "I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love. It Means More Than You Will Ever Know. I Want To Continue Giving Back, Learning And Growing."
Kodak got to meet Trump in person in March 2022. In a video surfacing online, the Pompano Beach native was seen coming to Trump's table at the latter's Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida. While the audio in the clip is difficult to decipher due to music and general background noise, Trump can be heard asking the rapper, "How are you?" The two then had a fist bump.
