The 'Raid the Cage' co-host, who adopted the rapper's surname 'Jenkins' after she married him in 2021, has now reverted back to her popular name 'Jeannie Mai' after he filed for divorce.

AceShowbiz - Jeannie Mai is slowly embracing her single status. A little over a month after her husband filed for divorce from her, it has been revealed that the television host has removed Jeezy's (formerly Young Jeezy) last name from Instagram.

The former "The Real" co-host adopted Jeezy's surname Jenkins and changed her Instagram bio to reflect this after she married him in 2021. However, sometime between October 12 and October 15, her IG account has been updated as she reverted back to simply her popular name "Jeannie Mai" on the bio.

Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, filed for the dissolution of the marriage on September 14 after only two years of marriage. According to court documents, the "Put On" rapper is asking for joint custody of his and Jeannie's 20-month-old daughter Monaco. In the docs, he stated that their marriage is "irretrievably broken" and "there is no hope for reconciliation." It's allegedly also stated that the pair have a prenuptial agreement in place.

Jeannie first broke her silence on her divorce via Instagram on October 11. In her first post since Jeezy filed for divorce last month, she shared a cryptic post that read, "Sometimes, you need to take a break and disconnect, to heal." She simply added a black heart emoji in the caption.

Later, when appearing on "Sherri", the 44-year-old shared how she has been handling her split from Jeezy. "I'm not going to lie, it takes every day, to just really sit and just be quiet in your thoughts ... take care of me," she told the host, Sherri Shepherd. "But one thing I know is, 'You give God your pain, He will give you his Power.' ... I'm just taking it day by day."

When talking about being a mother to one-year-old girl Monaco, the author called her daughter her "north star." She went on admitting, "I don't know if I would handle this the same way without her."

Jeannie also said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, "I'm taking it day by day and thankfully being able to have a show like this and to come to work and be able to do something you enjoy doing to get your mind off of things."

"You know right now I'm just focusing on Monaco," she further divulged, "I'm focusing on things I'm passionate about and shoot when your surrounded by people you just get to laugh and look at the things you enjoy doing in life then you get through it."
