AceShowbiz - Jenna Bush Hager has showered Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce with praise following her recent claim about the alleged couple. Shortly after sparking rumors that the two are moving in together, the co-host of "Today with Hoda & Jenna" called the "All Too Well" hitmaker and the NFL player a "royal couple."
In the Tuesday morning, October 17 episode of the show, Jenna sat down with her co-host Hoda Kotb and guest Erin Andrews, who works with Travis. When they were discussing his romance with Taylor, Jenna stated that Erin "may have set up" the two, deeming them "the couple of the future" and "America's couple." In response, Erin exclaimed, "America needs this." It did not take long for Jenna to reply, "Oh yeah we do, it's our royal couple."
Talking about Taylor and Travis' blossoming romance further, Erin said, "And what is people's problems that aren't into it? I think this is fantastic," prompting Jenna to admit, "Because I love, I'm a Swifty. I take her very seriously. I don't know him, I know her very well, just through music." The 41-year-old co-host then asked the guest, "Now you actually know him, why is he good for her?"
Erin explained, "Well I don't know her but I pretend to and I know him. So prime example, [I] did a sit down with him last year before a game. He walks in and he's a character, he just lights up the room. It's like Mickey Mouse in a great way." She continued, "Another thing about him, guys and girls love this because I have a story about him with my crew. I sat down with him and he smells like a dream. He'll say, 'It's Louis [Vuitton] baby.' "
"And so [he hugged] me to say goodbye, and I'm teaching you let's go, so I hugged him to say goodbye," Erin additionally recalled. "Then [I] went to a crew meeting with a bunch of guys and they're like, 'How'd the interview with Kelce go?' This is last year, I'm like, 'Come smell me.' Guys were like, 'Wow!' He's great."
Jenna's praises came one day after she fueled rumors suggesting that Taylor and Travis were buying a home together. "A friend from Kansas City texted me there might be news they're buying a house," she spilled in the Monday, October 16 episode of "Today". She quickly stressed that the speculation was "not confirmed by NBC News." However, Jenna's claim was quickly debunked.
