AceShowbiz - Jenna Bush Hager, the well-loved co-host of "Today with Jenna & Friends," addressed growing speculation about her marriage to Henry Chase Hager. The chatter began when viewers noticed she wasn't wearing her wedding ring in several episodes.
Jenna clarified the situation on the February 26 episode, explaining, "I'm not wearing [a wedding ring] now because I broke my finger." She reassured her audience, "Don't worry. I've seen some of the comments. Henry and I are still very happily married."
This isn't Jenna's first wedding ring mishap. She recounted another "bad wedding ring situation" linked to losing a precious sapphire that belonged to Henry's grandmother.
Reminiscing about the incident, Jenna recalled attending her co-host Savannah Guthrie's 50th birthday party. However, after a night of celebrating with friends, she noticed something dreadful the next morning. "I woke up the next morning, I look down at my engagement ring and one of the stones was gone."
Hesitant yet honest, Jenna decided to tell her husband, "I went ahead and said, 'Honey, you know, I know I lost a little bit of dignity last night. I also lost your grandmother's sapphire.' " Much to her relief, Henry's reaction was understanding, as she observed, "He's a tolerant person."
The "Today" host shared another mishap from last August when she not only broke her ring finger but ended up with a "black eye" after losing her necklace during a vacation.
Despite these incidents, Jenna and Henry, who married in May 2008, continue to enjoy a blissful marriage with their three children: Hal, 5, Poppy, 9, and Mila, 11.
