When reflecting on God's blessings in his life following the family tragedy, the 'Dami Duro' hitmaker reveals that his wife Chioma gave birth to a set of baby boy and girl in the same month of his son Ifeanyi's passing.

AceShowbiz - Davido has confirmed that he has become a father again. After a video surfaced of him and his wife Chioma Rowland leaving a hospital with a pair of newborns, the singer has publicly spoken up about welcoming the twins one year following the tragic passing of their son David Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr.

At the United Masters Select Con event on Saturday, October 14, the Nigerian-American superstar reflected on God's blessings in his life following the family tragedy. Saying that he was leaning on his faith and his loved ones during the difficult time, he revealed that he and his wife were "shaking" when they found out that she was pregnant.

"I was at the point of giving up," the 30-year-old said of dealing with the grief over the loss of his toddler son. "I thought I was never going to be able to sing ever again. I'm telling God, I'm doing this no more. After that, I have had my most successful year, I have had my biggest album."

"Three days ago my wife delivered twins, a beautiful boy and beautiful girl. Came back in double," he added, "I want people to see that side of me and also see that I still kept faith. It's very hard. A lot of people that those things happen to would never want to believe in God ever."

The "Dami Duro" hitmaker went on gushing, "When my wife and I found out, we were shaking, and it was in the same month my son passed. My son passed away last year in October, and my wife gave birth this year in October. It's crazy."

Davido and Chioma were reported to have welcomed twins after video surfaced of the couple leaving the hospital in Atlanta earlier this month. In the viral video, Chioma could be seen sitting in a wheelchair clutching two babies with Davido standing beside her beaming with joy.

The couple didn't immediately announce the good news, but music executive Ovie confirmed it as he congratulated the pair via X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday. He wrote, "Confirmed. Davido and Chioma. Double blessings."

Nearly one year ago, Davido and Chioma lost their son Ifeanyi in a drowning accident. The oldest son and third child of the singer died in late October 2022 after drowning in the family pool when his parents were not home, just several weeks after the boy's third birthday.
