The Nigerian-American superstar and his wife reportedly welcomed their twin children in the United States on Tuesday, October 10 after losing their son Ifeanyi in a drowning accident last year.

AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for Davido and his wife Chioma Rowland. The Nigerian-American singer and his wife have reportedly welcomed not just one, but two new additions, to their family, one year after the tragic passing of their son.

The happy news broke after footage surfaced of Davido and Chioma leaving a hospital in Atlanta with a set of twins. In the viral video, Chioma could be seen sitting in a wheelchair clutching two babies with Davido standing beside her beaming with joy.

The attentive father was fixing one of the babies' pink beanie. Details of the newborns are currently unknown as the pair have yet to formally announce the news, but one of the babies was wrapped in a blue blanket and another was sporting a pink beanie, which might hint at their genders.

Additionally, a voice could be heard in the video, "Grandpa is the photographer, hello Atlanta, hello world, we are having our first car ride in Grandpa's Bentley." The car was equipped with two infant car seats installed in the backseat, where the babies were taken into.

Meanwhile, music executive Ovie confirmed the news as he congratulated the pair via X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday. He wrote, "Confirmed. Davido and Chioma. Double blessings."

The good news arrived nearly one year after Davido and Chioma lost their son David Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr., known simply as Ifeanyi, in a pool accident. The oldest son and third child of the singer died in late October 2022 after drowning in the family pool when his parents were not home. He was rushed to the hospital in Banana Island where he was pronounced dead.

"The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital," a family source said of the incident, as quoted by Peoples Gazette. "By the time they rushed him to Lagoon Hospital it was already too late."

"His (Ifeanyi's) death is confirmed. His (Davido's) domestic workers have been brought in for questioning and anybody found not culpable will be allowed to go immediately," police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin later told local news outlet Punch. "About eight of them were brought in to narrate their version of what happened to assist us in getting what really happened."

"We are reviewing the CCTV cameras to get additional information about the circumstances of his death," the spokesperson added. "His body has been deposited in the morgue. We are in touch with his parents. In fact, they were with us last night."
