The 'Sandlot' actor's mom Deanna Esmaeel was found dead at her own home on Thursday, October 12 with her boyfriend Daniel James Walter being named as the suspect.

AceShowbiz - A suspect in the murder of "The Sandlot" actor Marty York's mom, Deanna Esmaeel, has been arrested. According to a post on Del Norte County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page, Deanna's boyfriend Daniel James Walter was taken into custody on Friday night, October 13 in Curry County, Oregon.

The post read, "*** UPDATE SUSPECT IN CUSTODY *** 10/13/23 19:19HRS The suspect was located and detained by Brookings PD and is in custody in Curry County, Oregon." The arrest came after Brookings PD managed to locate Daniel's vehicle.

Deanna was found dead at her own home on Thursday, October 12. The 67-year-old, a sheriff deputy, was murdered in her own home in Crescent City, California. "We are all deeply heartbroken with the loss of Deputy Esmaeel," Sheriff Scott, who worked alongside Deanna at the Del Norte Sheriff's Office, said in a statement, via TMZ. "Our hearts and prayers go out to her family, friends, and co-workers."

Marty, who was best known for playing "Yeah-Yeah" in 1993's "The Sandlot", later took to his Instagram account to address the passing of his mom. "This is the hardest post I'll ever have to write but I found out from the sheriff department last night that my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing," he wrote on Friday alongside a picture of him posing with his late mom.

"The emotions I have are horrible right now between rage, vengance [sic], crying," the actor explained. "There is a nationwide manhunt underway, please if you've seen this man contact the authorities immediately!"

Upon catching wind of his heartbreaking post, fans left supportive comments underneath the post. "I'm so sorry for your loss, Marty. Praying for you and your family," one said in a comment. "Oh Marty, I'm so sorry to hear this. My wife and I are sending prayers and pray that they get this man and prosecute him to the maximum. Love you brother," another said, while someone else wrote, "This is horrific. I am so sorry. Sending you all my love."
