The 'Walk It Talk It' rapper is blasted by two figures in the animal rights organization after spoiling his raptress wife with three Hermes bags, which were made of crocodiles' skin, for her 31st birthday.

AceShowbiz - Offset was called out by PETA over his choice of birthday gift to Cardi B. Shortly after spoiling his wife with three Birkin bags from Hermes which were made of crocodiles' skin, the "Walk It Talk It" rapper was strongly criticized by a number of figures in the animal rights organization.

On Friday, October 13, the 31-year-old Migos rapper received a letter from PETA's Celebrity Relations Assistant Manager Nicole Cummins which was seen by DailyMail.com. In the letter, Nicole allegedly wrote, "We saw that you gifted Cardi B three Hermes Birkin bags for her birthday. Everyone deserves a little luxury, but in this case, it came at a high price for animals."

"Crocodiles killed for the bags you bought are packed into severely crowded, barren concrete pits for months or even years before they're finally slaughtered for their skin," Nicole continued. "A PETA Asia investigation into the crocodile-skin trade revealed that workers stabbed crocodiles with a metal blade in an attempt to sever their spinal cords, but this method simply causes paralysis and likely extreme pain, but not death."

"The crocodiles were most likely alive and suffering horribly when they were inflated, skinned, and disemboweled," Nicole added. "The bags you purchased were once living, feeling individuals who endured unbearable pain, moment by moment, while they were being killed."

In the same letter, Nicole went on to suggest, "If you're dead-set on splurging half a million on birthday gifts, please consider animal-free products from luxury brands like these in the future. It's a win-win. Animals get to live, and you get to maintain that high-roller status. Give it a thought, please."

Aside from Nicole, PETA's Vice President Lisa Lange issued a public statement via the organization's official website. "Instead of using his wealth and influence for good, Offset chose to funnel hundreds of thousands of dollars into a gruesome, violent industry that electroshocks crocodiles, shoves metal rods into their heads in an attempt to scramble their brains, and mutilates them while they're still alive," Lisa said.

"PETA reminds everyone that people who still spend their money on a closet full of dead animals body parts either are clueless or simply don't care about the extreme cruelty they are perpetuating," Lisa further pointed out. She then stressed, "It's just not worth it."

On Wednesday, October 11, Offset gifted Cardi three luxury Birkin bags, which were made of crocodiles' skin, from Hermes for her 31st birthday. The raptress later shared a photo of the three handbags via Instagram on Thursday, October 12. In the snap, she flaunted three different styles of purses that came in brown, white and pink colors.
