AceShowbiz - Ice Cube isn't a fan of Barack Obama and has called out the former U.S. president for the lack of changes he made during his presidency. The rapper-turned-actor has expressed his disappointment in Obama's presidency in a new interview.

Speaking to Tucker Carlson on his new show "Tucker on Twitter", the former N.W.A member admitted that he was initially hopeful about Obama, who became the first African-American president of the United States. "For the first time, I felt proud that America took that step," he said.

"So that was a moment in time," the 54-year-old added. "But then you look around, years go by, and not much changed for people I know, people I care about." Complaining about other former presidents' administrations, he continued, "It didn't change with Bush, with Clinton, elder Bush, Reagan, Carter. So at the end of the day, it's still the same as it was."

The West Coast hip-hop legend went on agreeing with the notion that the election of Obama was symbolic. "Yes," he responded to the question. "In a lot of ways, yes."

Cube, whose real name is O'Shea Jackson Sr., drew criticism when he decided to work with the Donald Trump campaign to bring out the black vote for the 2020 presidential election. He clarified that he had approached Democrats and Republicans, but Democrats told him they had to wait until after the election, while Trump's side agreed immediately.

Despite backing Trump's campaign, Cube admitted that he no longer donates nor believes in politicians because many of them have "hidden agendas." He shared, "I don't believe in politicians. Politicians have hidden agendas. The more money you give them, the more they listen to you."

In the same interview, Cube defended his anti-vax stance. "It wasn't ready. It was six months, kind of rush job. And I didn't feel safe," he said of the reason why he refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
