It is unclear whether the 22-year-old emcee is serious about his retirement since he declared in February 2020 that he was done making music.

AceShowbiz - Is Lil Pump closing out his career in the music industry? The "Gucci Gang" rapper declared in a video shared on social media that he decided to retire from the rap game to become an astronaut.

The emcee recorded the clip when he was in an airplane. "PSA, PSA," the 22-year-old declared. "I will not be making music anymore. I retire. I'm finna go be an astronaut. Bye."

It is unclear whether Pump was serious about his retirement, but some people ridiculed him in response. One person wrote, "Requires quite a lot of math and physics with a touch of chemistry and biology. He'd run mad studying Newton's laws." Another joked, "We never looked at you as a rapper we don't know any of your songs."

Pump has yet to react to the trolling. However, he previously stated that he couldn't care less about online criticism. "More people love me than hate me," he told Complex in April.

"And I'ma say this right now: everybody who talks s**t in my comments – every single body – I have never to this day seen one person walk up to me and say that s**t to my face. Everything is on the internet. Nobody has ever walked up to my face and said nothing crazy," he continued. "So this s**t's not even real. It's fake to me."

This is not the first time Pump, whose real name is Gazzy Fabio Garcia, announced that he's done making music. In February 2020, he penned on Instagram Story, "I'm done doing music I quit."

However, it didn't take long for Pump to make his return. Sharing an Instagram video of him singing a Spanish song titled "Contacto", he wrote in the caption, "YALL THOUGHT I QUIT B***H IM BACK."
