AceShowbiz - Rachel McAdams was apparently director Jon Favreau's first choice to play Tony Stark's assistant and love interest, Pepper Potts. "The Notebook" actress, however, turned down the role due to scheduling conflicts. Gwyneth Paltrow was later tapped to play the role, joining Robert Downey Jr.
Thankfully, fans of Rachel and Marvel got another chance to see the actress in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The star made her MCU debut in "Doctor Strange" as Christine Palmer in 2016.
