AceShowbiz - Samuel L. Jackson knows how important his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is and wants a consistent involvement in it. Since he made his debut as Nick Fury in 2008's "Iron Man", he has starred in numerous Marvel movies and TV series, expect for the two "Black Panther" films.

This has understandably left not only fans, but also the actor confused. Met at the premiere of his new Disney+ series "Secret Invasion", the Tony Award nominee admitted he wants to appear in every Marvel film if it's up him, but he has no idea why he has never been to Wakanda.

"I don't know, it's kind of up and down for me in an interesting sort of way," Jackson told Entertainment Tonight when asked which Marvel franchise he wants to be cast in next. "Because, if I had it my way, I would've been in every Marvel movie."

The 74-year-old explained why Nick should be part of every movie, " 'cause I mean he is Nick Fury, he knows everything that's going on. I'm still trying to figure out why I've never been to Wakanda." He continued, "They didn't ask me to go, but I'm still trying to get there. I need a ticket."

On "Secret Invasion" which will be released on June 21, Jackson finally takes the lead role instead of playing a supporting role. Set in the present-day MCU, it follows the former S.H.I.E.L.D. leader as he learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. He gathers his allies, including Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and the Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.

On the big screen, Jackson will reprise his role in "The Marvels", which will arrive in the U.S. on November 10. Brie Larson will also return as Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris will star as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani will reprise her role as as Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel.
