AceShowbiz - Jhene Aiko is taking "a little break." When informing fans about the cancellation of her scheduled concerts in New Jersey, the "Bed Peace" singer explained that the decision was made "at the urging" of her doctor.

On Wednesday, June 7, the 35-year-old uploaded a snap of her clarification note on Instagram. It read, "Been trying to do too much, too soon. At the urging of my doctor, I'll be taking a little break to focus on myself and my babies [blue heart emoji]."

Realizing she disappointed many with the decision, Jhene went on to write, "My sincerest apologies to anyone that purchased a ticket to my shows in NJ. I promise to make it up to you the next time I'm in the area." The "Back to the Streets" singer did not forget to wish her fans well by saying, "Be well. -j.a.c."

In the post, however, Jhene did not specify which concert dates were canceled. She also has not come out with replacement dates for the canceled shows. Tickets for her June and August shows are still available on her website.

Jhene's announcement did not take long to draw mixed reactions. Many of her famous friends wished her well, while others complained about her reason for cancellation. Actor Kenya Barris penned, "Be well sis!!!" Kehlani wrote, "Good for you mama." A hair artist, Kahh Spence, simply noted, "Health is wealth."

Writer Michell C. Clark chimed in, "Rest up and take care!" The Instagram account of brand Artipoppe also sent her well wishes by writing in the comments section, "Sending love & healing your way mama."

Meanwhile, one social media user complained, "Celebrities stay using mental health as an excuse to cancel shows and not register out refunds. I wonder what they do with all that money."

The user continued, "Not saying mental health isn't important, but if you knew your mental health wasn't in tip top shape, why you still let people pay too see a show they not gon see? it's crazy to me."
