AceShowbiz - Britney Spears has publicly voiced her thoughts on her 13-year conservatorship. Nearly two weeks after confirming that she has reconciled with her mother, the "Hold It Against Me" hitmaker blamed "all those rules" and "not having voice" for her quitting the business.
On Wednesday, June 7, the 41-year-old pop star uploaded a throwback video of her dancing on her Instagram account. Along with the clip which was deleted after less than 24 hours, she wrote in the caption, "Guess all those rules and not having a voice for 13 years in what I wanted gave a lot of people a thrill ride !!!"
The "Toxic" songstress was referring to the period when she was placed under the conservatorship of her father. She went on to say, "Oh well !!! Psss no wonder I quit the business JUST SAYING !!! But I'm going to London next week to go shopping so things aren't too shabby !!!"
In that same caption, Britney also shared her thoughts on her 2007 song "Get Naked (I Got a Plan)" that played in the background. She gushed, "This is a repost from Maui last year !!! I know it's not that great BUT the song is my favorite song I've ever done !!!"
The ex-wife of Kevin Federline further elaborated, "It was really weird because my dancers took the stage for this song !! Oh well !!! I listened to this song today and actually realized it for the first time !!!" She added, "I guess it was all those rules you know !!!"
Britney's conservatorship jab came nearly two weeks after her revelation that she had reconciled with her mother. Back on May 25, she wrote in an Instagram post, "My sweet mama showed up at my door step yesterday after 3 years … it's been such a long time."
"With family there's always things that need to be worked out … but time heals all wounds !!! And after being able to communicate what I've held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT !!!I love you so much !! (sic)" the wife of Sam Asghari added.
