AceShowbiz - Natalie Portman has given another evidence that her marriage remains intact despite her husband's affair scandal. The actress was still wearing her wedding ring during her latest public appearance amid rumors that Benjamin Millepied has cheated on her.
The 41-year-old beauty stepped out on Wednesday, June 7 to attend the 2023 French Open in Paris. Sitting courtside at the quarter-final match between America's Coco Gauff and Poland's Iga SwiÄ…tek, she flashed her massive wedding ring as she put her left hand on her neck and touched her chin.
The Oscar winner appeared to be in good spirits as she was all smiles during the outing. She was reportedly joined by friends in the stands. The "Black Swan" star wore a printed wrap dress, black wedge heels and a Christian Dior straw hat for the tennis tournament. She completed her look with a pair of cat-eye sunglasses and a black Christian Dior bag.
Despite her cheerful appearance, Natalie reportedly felt "humiliated" by cheating allegations against her husband. Though she's hurt, the actress chose to remain committed to her marriage.
"Natalie believes Benjamin’s affair was a brief and stupid liaison that means nothing to him," a source told Us Weekly, adding that she is "willing to see if she's capable of rebuilding her trust" in her husband to ensure that their kids don't "grow up in a broken home."
A second insider, however, said that Natalie "doesn't know" whether she and Benjamin will repair their relationship post-scandal. "Right now, they are talking and working on it together for the sake of their children," the source dished, noting that the French dancer "regrets" his actions.
French magazine Voici was the first to report that Benjamin allegedly cheated on Natalie with glamorous young climate activist Camille Etienne. "It was short-lived and it is over," a source told PEOPLE of the alleged affair.
"He knows he made an enormous mistake and he is doing all he can to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together," said the source as the 45-year-old choreographer is reportedly fighting to save his marriage. "Natalie is incredibly private and has no intention of playing this out in the media. Her biggest priority is protecting her children and their privacy."
