The 'Super Freaky Girl' femcee's upcoming, yet-untitled fifth studio album will be her first in five years, following 'Queen' that was released back in 2018.

AceShowbiz - The wait is over, Barbz! Nicki Minaj confirmed on Monday, June 5 that her next album, which will be her first in five years, will be coming this year as she made use of her Twitter account to announce its release date.
"10/20/23," the Barbadian femcee wrote on the blue bird app, casually sending the Barbz into a frenzy. She added, "The Album," alongside emojis of a CD and a pink bow.
Fans expressed excitement following the announcement. "5 YEARS AGO? Where did time go? I'm READY!" one fan wrote in an Instagram comment. "Nicki debuted in 2007 and it's now 2023 and she's still on of the top female rappers in the game you can't deny her greatness…," one other raved.
"Perfect timing!! All the Rap girls was having too much fun without her!!" another fan noted. However, some others doubted that Nicki would really drop her new album on the date as one said, "Idk why but I just feel like that’s not going to be the actual date."
Nicki's upcoming fifth studio album will follow "Queen", which was released back in 2018. It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and spun off several major hits, such as "Good Form", "Chun-Li" and "Barbie Dreams" featuring Ariana Grande. She later released one compilation, "Queen Radio: Volume 1", which landed into the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 last year.
Meanwhile, her upcoming, yet-untitled album may also mark her first proper release under her own record label, Heavy On It. The "Super Freaky Girl" femcee announced her own record label earlier this year on her "Queen Radio" show. "I have a record label now," Nicki shared in March. "When I get behind an artist, y'all know how I do s**t for people that's not even signed to me. Imagine what I'ma do for the ones that's signed.
