The 'Beauty and the Beast' singer additionally claims that the former FOX News anchor, who calls the model an 'elitist,' is 'desperate,' before telling her to 'just shut up.'

AceShowbiz - John Legend doesn't mince his words when clapping back at Megyn Kelly for slamming his wife Chrissy Teigen over her outfit at the 2023 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. In a new interview, the "All of Me" singer dragged the conservative journalist and TV personality.
Noting that his model wife looked "unbelievable" at the event, which took place in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, April 29, John was later asked about Megyn's comments on Chrissy's sheer gown. "Megyn, you know, she likes attention," the singer told TMZ while at MIRAME in Beverly Hills Thursday, May 4.
"She needs it after she got fired from FOX. She has to do what she can do to get attention," the EGOT winner went on to diss the former FOX News anchor. "She pissed all the conservatives off when she asked [Donald Trump] a tough question. So, now she's trying to figure out a way to win him back."
John also added that Megyn was "desperate," before telling her to "just shut up." John later laughed off Megyn's comment that Chrissy exhibited an "elitist behavior" for having three people carrying her dress. Before the interview concluded, John gushed over the "Lip Sync Battle" co-host by saying that she's "kind," "lovely" and "down-to-earth."
Megyn put Chrissy, who donned a flowing lilac gown with a sparkling corset waistline, plunging neckline and high-slit skirt to the event, on blast in an episode of her SiriusXM's "The Megyn Kelly Show". "You know who they think is relevant? Chrissy Teigen. That's who they invited as their big star," Kelly said. "We've gone from George Clooney to Chrissy Teigen, who showed up there like she was literally going to the coronation."
In response to a video showing Chrissy arriving at the dinner with her husband John and three women who held the back of her dress, Kelly continued shading the mom of three, "She has by my count three minions following her - that's minions in her view - following her, holding the dress or the train of her existent dress."
"I can see underwear, ok? I can see London, I see France, I see Chrissy's underpants," she went on saying. "Nobody shows underpants at the White House Correspondents Dinner, okay Chrissy? They just don't do it. And nobody shows up with serfs to carry their train, which there shouldn't be on your White House Correspondents Dinner dress anyway because it's barely a formal event."
Not stopping there, Kelly went on to note that Chrissy's flashy entrance was a picture of "everything wrong with the elitism… the self importance, the aggrandizement of this fake, stupid event." She concluded, "It just tells you everything you need to know."
