AceShowbiz - New photos from "Wicked" set have landed online, giving a better look at Ariana Grande in character. After director Jon M. Chu unveiled the official first look at Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the upcoming movie, the singer/actress was photographed rocking a pink gown while singing on a golden carrier as Glinda the Good Witch.

The former Nickelodeon star looked majestic in the stunning gown with a silver crown and iridescent scepter as she rode atop the golden carriage. She appeared to be filming a musical number of "No One Mourns the Wicked", which is performed by her character Glinda and her fellow Ozians.

Beneath Grande's platform, numerous actors playing townspeople assembled, all dressed in costume. According to eyewitnesses, villagers were celebrating the death of the Wicked Witch as they welcomed Glinda into their town. As Glinda made her grand entrance, the townspeople clapped and cheered and even danced on the streets.

Aerial photos of the set, obtained by Daily Mail, also show the magical land of Oz constructed upon a farmland in Ivinghoe, a village in east Buckinghamshire. A massive poster that warned townspeople of the Wicked Witch was plastered on the wall of one of the colorful buildings.

In "Wicked", Erivo stars as green-skinned Elphaba who is framed by the Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum) and becomes the Wicked Witch of the West. Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater and Michelle Yeoh also star in the film.

The film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical of the same title is divided into two parts. "Wicked: Part One" is set to arrive on December 25, 2024, while the sequel, "Wicked: Part Two", is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2025. Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz adapted the screenplay for the big screen version.
