AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes has finally addressed rumors that he and Sabrina Carpenter are an item. In a new interview, the "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" crooner shut down the dating speculations.

The 24-year-old Canadian pop star told Dutch TV program "RTL Boulevard" on Friday, March 17 that he and Sabrina are only friends. "We are not dating," so the "Stitches" hitmaker said.

Shawn then suggested that they talk about his partnership with Tommy Hilfiger "probably more than Sabrina, but thank you." In the meantime, Sabrina has stayed tight-lipped on the matter.

Shawn and Sabrina first sparked romance rumors when the celebrity gossip Instagram account Deuxmoi posted a tip that they looked "verrry comfortable" while "clearly on a date" at Horses in Los Angeles last month.

Since then, the two have only fueled speculation. The duo were also spotted running errands together wearing casual attire in Los Angeles shortly after the Deuxmoi post. The "Treat You Better" singer and the "Nonsense" songstress were also photographed at Miley Cyrus' "Endless Summer Vacation" album release party together last week in Beverly Hills where they allegedly left in the same car together.

More recently, fans speculated that Shawn wore a necklace with Sabrina's birthstone. Indeed, the "Mercy" crooner was spotted wearing a green pendant while attending the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. Coincidentally, the "Girl Meets World" alum's birthday lands in May, which makes her birthstone an emerald.

Prior to being romantically linked to Sabrina, Shawn sparked rumors that he's dating 51-year-old celebrity chiropractor, Dr. Jocelyn Miranda. However, the said insider told ET that the pair were never "romantically involved." The informant added, "He was never dating Dr. Jocelyn Miranda and it has never been romantic between them!"
