AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire used to share a bond over their ties to the Blackstocks, but that now allegedly causes a tension between the two singers. Words are the 40-year-old talk show host is "really upset" with her former mother-in-law for meddling in her messy divorce with Brandon Blackstock.

The "Because of You" singer finalized her divorce from Brandon, the son of her former manager Narvel Blackstock and former stepson of Reba, in March 2022, but the country music star has reportedly urged Kelly to take him back. "For some reason, Reba just can't accept that it's over," a source tells Radar Online.

Kelly and Reba are currently working together on "The Voice", where Kelly serves as a judge and Reba is billed a mentor, and things are reportedly tense on set between the two. "They have to play nice for the cameras, but things are really tense between them. Reba's got it in her head that Kelly should take Brandon back, which has really upset Kelly," the source claims.

Though Reba called it quits with Brandon's father Narvel in 2015 after 26 years of marriage, she reportedly still has a "soft spot" for her stepson. On the other hand, Kelly is still "so angry" about her ex's cash grab and squealed there's "no chance" she'll ever take him back.

"Reba has this delusional hope Brandon and Kelly could work things out. She thinks it would be better for the kids," the informant dishes out. "Kelly's not having any of it. She thinks Reba should leave 'The Voice'. The tension's boiling over - and everyone's worried it's going to come out on camera."

Kelly won primary custody of her children, River, 8, and Remington, 6, but she was forced to fork over a whopping $1.3 million cash settlement and $45k in monthly child support to Brandon. She was also ordered to pay him $115,000 per month in spousal support until January 2024.

Recently, the "American Idol" alum admitted that her children have been devastated by her split from Brandon. She shared on "Angie Martinez IRL" podcast, "I literally ask my kids every night when we're snuggling, 'Are you happy?' And if you're not, what could make you happier?"

"Sometimes they'll say - especially the past two years - a lot of it - and it kills me - and I want them to be honest so I don't ever say, 'Oh god, don't tell me that,' but a lot of times it would be like, 'You know, I'm just really sad. I wish mommy and daddy were in the same house.' And they're really honest about it. And I'm raising that kind of individual," she divulged.
