While discussing the recent death of the pop culture sex symbol on the morning talk show, Sunny gets booed by the audience for mentioning the 'Kardashians' star.

AceShowbiz - "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin made a controversial remark about late star Raquel Welch. While discussing the recent death of the actress and pop culture sex symbol in the Thursday, February 16 episode of the morning talk show, Sunny compared her to Kim Kardashian.

"You know, they don't make any sex symbols like that," Joy Behar said, "I don't know any present [sex symbols.]" Later, Sunny quipped, "Well, Kim Kardashian is kind of a sex symbol."

Upon hearing Sunny's remark, the studio audience quickly booed her in response. "Kardashian? No," Joy said while Sunny was shocked by the loud booing that she got. "Turning, turning - the audience is turning," Joy added.

Whoopi Goldberg agreed with the audience. She said, "No. That's not even, you can't even put them in the sameā€¦ I'm moving on."

Raquel died on Wednesday, February 15 at the age of 82 following a brief illness. The "One Million Years B.C." star's manager, Steve Saurer, confirmed her passing in a statement that read, "[She passed away peacefully early this morning after a brief illness." The manager, however, didn't offer more specific details surrounding her death.

Meanwhile, Whoopi is indeed not a fan of Kim. Weighing in on Charlize Theron's comment that "the marketplace of what Kim Kardashian represents" holds "way more value than what Meryl Streep, one of the greatest actresses working, does," the TV host previously said, "I don't think that's true."

"Kim Kardashian can't get a movie greenlit, or it would've happened. She can't do that. She can get television shows made, maybe, but that's about it. She can maybe be instrumental in helping things happen, but I'll tell you, Charlize, you've got more pull in the industry than I've got in the industry. You get stuff done faster than I can. 'Till' took me 11 years," the 67-year-old continued. "So, there are things, there are people who can make things happen, but I don't know all that many people other than a lot of men who can get stuff greenlit like that."
