On the night of the tragic mass shooting, the model took to Instagram to ask her followers for help to locate her niece Arielle Diamond, who was a student at Michigan State University.

AceShowbiz - The latest deadly mass shooting in the U.S. has hit Deelishis too close to home. Her niece Arielle Diamond was one of the victims killed in the tragic mass shooting at Michigan State University on Monday, February 13.
Deelishis, whose real name is Chandra Davis and also known as London Charles, began her frantic plea for help to locate her niece on the night of the shooting. "My beautiful niece @ariellediamond_ is a student at MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY…," she wrote on Instagram on Monday night along with a photo of Arielle.
She told her followers, "she was in her classroom in the same building as the active shooter and we have not heard from her. If you know her whereabouts please dm me … in the meantime my family and I ask for your prayers !!"
Unfortunately, Arielle never returned home to her family. Deelishis later seemed to confirm her niece's passing as she pinned a comment by another family member that read, "my sweet beautiful niece... RIP baby girl."
Messages of condolences came soon came in from fellow celebrities and TV personalities, such as Brooke Bailey who commented on Deelishis' post, "I am praying for you and your family. I am so sorry that you and your family have to experience the gut wrenching hurt from this tragic loss. RIP baby girl."
Brandi Maxiell wrote, "praying for you hard mama." Sheree Whitfield weighed in on the devastating news, "Praying for you and your family's strength." Comedian Michael Blackson penned, "Omg so sorry your family has to go thru this. May God heal you and your family thru these rough moments." Karlie Reed added, "Praying for your family," while Shaun King said, "I am very sorry."
On Monday night, a gunman, who has since been identified as Anthony McRae, went on a shooting rampage at MSU, killing 3 students and critically injuring 5 others. He entered two buildings on campus and shot at random people as students ran for cover and heavily armed police officers stormed the area looking for the assailant. Hours later, Anthony was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
MSU Interim Deputy Chief Chris Rozman addressed the attack at a news conference. "I can't even begin to imagine what that motive would be. That will obviously be part of our investigation," he said. "We are unsure of any affiliation that the suspect had to the University."
As noted by CNN, the MSU shooting marks the 67th mass shooting in the country so far this year.
