The 'Yellowjackets' actress hits back at the 'America's Next Top Model' winner, who insinuates that her body type isn't suitable for her militia leader character on the HBO series.

AceShowbiz - Melanie Lynskey has clapped back at Adrianne Curry after the latter shaded Melanie following her appearance on "The Last of Us". Making use of her Twitter account, Melanie fired back at Adrienne for her "body shaming" comments.

Melanie, who made her first appearance as militia leader Kathleen in the February 5 episode of the HBO series, responded to Adrianne comparing her to "The Terminator" star Linda Hamilton. In a now deleted tweet, the "America's Next Top Model" winner wrote underneath a picture of Melanie, "her body says life of luxury...not post apocolyptic (sp) warlord. where is linda hamilton when you need her?"

Catching wind of the diss, Melanie tweeted, "Firstly-this is a photo from my cover shoot for InStyle magazine, not a still from HBO's The Last Of Us." The "Yellowjackets" actress continued, "And I'm playing a person who meticulously planned & executed an overthrow of [government agency] FEDRA. I am supposed to be SMART, ma'am. I don't need to be muscly. That's what henchmen are for."

Melanie Lynskey hit back at Adrianne Curry's diss.

In another tweet, Melanie continued, "I understand that some people are mad that I'm not the typical casting for this role. That's thrilling to me. Other than the moments after action is called, when you feel like you're actually in someone else's body, the most exciting part of my job is subverting expectations."

Adrianne, however, only doubled down on her comments. "She edited out my tweet where I said she had a perfect hour glass frame that I did not associate with warriors. Actors taking character criticism as personal attacks is mind blowing," she said.

She additionally accused Melanie of being "manipulative" as she said, "She cropped out what I said about her perfect hour glass frame being the most desirable to men. Seems quite manipulative. Also, she is NOT her character."

The model also responded to one user, "I'm not allowed to say I didn't find the fictional character believable due to her soft voice, small stature and curvy frame. Fictional. Not real." She added in another tweet, "Next up, [Jason Momoa] will find my criticism of his portrayal of AQUAMAN and will put me in my place with a strongly worded tweet on why he IS the perfect Arthur Curry."

Adrienne Curry doubled down on her criticisms.

The "Surreal Life" alum went on to note that this wasn't the first time for her to make some controversial TV opinions. She tweeted, "So what? Why does anyone care? I said the same s**t about Carol in The Walking Dead!!!! That actress didn't get upset about it. Carol isn't a real person."
