Quavo, who is set to honor his late Migos groupmate by performing his song 'Without You', will be joined by Maverick City Music choir instead for the In Memoriam segment.

AceShowbiz - Quavo and Offset are apparently not ready to put aside their differences just yet for the sake of their mutual loved one, Takeoff. Offset will reportedly not be joining Quavo when his former Migos bandmate performs a tribute to the late rapper at the 2023 Grammy Awards, which will take place on Sunday, February 5 at Crypto.com Arena.

As announced by The Recording Academy, Quavo will honor Takeoff by performing his song "Without You" during the In Memoriam segment. He will not be joined on the stage by Offset, though the latter is also expected to attend the prize-giving event.

As of now, it's unclear why Takeoff will not join Quavo for the tribute performance. A source familiar with the performance tells Hollywood Unlocked, "although it is going to be a touching moment, Quavo performing it with Offset sitting in the audience is going to be extremely awkward."

Migos had been rumored disbanding prior to Takeoff's tragic passing, with Quavo and Takeoff releasing their collaborative album "Only Built for Infinity Links" on October 7, 2022, less than a month before Takeoff was fatally shot in Texas.

Following a funeral for the late rapper, Quavo posted a lengthy tribute to Instagram. "It's so hard to tell you Ima miss you because you [were] always with me and we did everything together. Thought we were gonna be pro wrestlers," he wrote.

He continued, "Nothing ever really bothered Take and he didn't bother anybody. He the most unbothered person in the world. He never go mad, he never raised his voice, and when he did, he silenced the room because what Take said was law and he wasn't changing his mind."

"This whole time I've been trying to figure what you really are to me because nephew wasn't it. We hated that word 'nephew' or when they said 'Unc and Phew' cuz we always knew we were closer than that and it made me feel old too," he said, before concluding. "But I knew you weren't my brother cuz you are my sister's son, so I couldn't say brother. Now I finally get it… you are OUR angel (sic)."

In January, Quavo released the heartbreaking song "Without You", on which he bids farewell to his late nephew. He raps on the song, "Tears rolling down my eyes/ Can't tell you how many times I cried/ Days ain't the same without you/ I don't know if I'm the same without you."

Meanwhile, Offset has honored Takeoff at his live performances. Last month, he also expressed how much he missed his cousin as he tweeted, "come back bra !" along with a rocket emoji.
