The 'Hawkeye' actor, who was left with blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries after being crushed by a snowplow on New Year's Day, takes to Twitter to respond to his 'Avengers: Endgame' co-star's joke.

AceShowbiz - Jeremy Renner had a playful banter with Chris Evans on Twitter. The "Hawkeye" actor has offered his response after his "Avengers: Endgame" co-star joked about his snowplow accident.

Making use of the blue bird app, Renner shared a photograph of himself in a bed receiving what appeared to be physical therapy. "I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness," he began his caption.

"Much love and appreciation to you all," the 52-year-old further noted. "These 30 plus broken bones will mend , grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens."

Catching wind of the post, Evans quote-retweeted it by writing, "That's one tough mf'er. Has anyone even checked on the snowcat???" The Captain America depicter then concluded, "Sending so much love."

Renner proved that he still has a sense of humor despite the harrowing incident. "Love you brother," he replied, before quipping, "I did check on the snow cat , she needs fuel."

Renner was left with blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries after being crushed by a snowplow on New Year's Day at his home in the Reno area of Nevada. He had been recovering in a hospital up until January 17, when he revealed that he was home.

Earlier this week, Renner offered an update on his journey to recovery. "Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years," he penned on Instagram. "Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love [heart emoji]."
