A number of rappers have been labeled as 'snitches' for cooperating with police and while some of them manage to brush off the title, others still suffer from it.

AceShowbiz - T.I. was once accused of snitching on Kodak Black in 2019 after the former was arrested for drugs and weapons arrest. While the allegation wasn't confirmed, Tip confessed in the following year that he did pin a gun case on his late relative in the early 2000s. He said the scenario took place before he rose to fame. At that time, he and his cousin Toot were caught stealing upscale clothes.
A video from Tip's confession re-surfaced in December 2022, leading people to drag him on social media. While he didn't address the backlash, his son King Harris came to his defense by saying on Instagram Live, "Y'all could tell me I'm wrong or whatever. Y'all throwing out the wrong word." He added, "Look, listen. A snitch, a rat, a mouse is you putting somebody… If you put somebody else in trouble and you get out. Somebody has to do time and s**t like that for you [to be a snitch]."
