The 63-year-old media mogul first sported 'melted' face, leading him to being likened to Madame Tussauds' waxwork, in a 'Britain's Got Talent' promo video posted last month.

AceShowbiz - Simon Cowell has left "Royal Variety Performance" viewers in shock with his unrecognizable appearance. The media mogul was first seen with his "melted" face in the "Britain's Got Talent" promo video posted late last month.

The 63-year-old's incredibly smooth visage, which might be the result of cosmetic surgery, shocked fans after he took to the stage at the "Royal Variety Performance", which was filmed on December 2 and aired on ITV on Tuesday night, December 20.

One TV viewer at home tweeted, "What's he done to himself?" Another added, "Just saw Simon Cowell on the Royal Variety show, what has he done to himself? He looks really gruesome." A third remarked, "WTF have you done to your face lad?" with someone else urging, "Simon Cowell needs to stop having facelifts!"

Agreeing, a separate person commented, "Flicked over during halftime of the football and was that Simon Cowell of George Michael ordered from Wish on stage." Another suggested, "Simon Cowell's had a 'little work' done," and one more wondered, "What on earth happened to Simon Cowell?"

For the ITV show, Simon was introducing BGT winner Axel Blake. However, things didn't go as planned when "The X Factor" judge accidentally broke the golden buzzer off its stand in an awkward blunder.

The button broke off from the stand into Simon's hands, leaving the star holding it close to his chest. The TV personality shrugged at host Lee Mack, who laughed awkwardly before carrying on with the show.

Last week, Simon made his first live TV appearance after sparking concern among his fans with his "melted" face in the "Britain's Got Talent" promo video. Still sporting a bizarre look, which led him to being likened to Madame Tussauds' waxwork, he stopped by ITV's "This Morning" studios on December 14 for a reunion with "The X Factor" longtime host Dermot O'Leary. He was in good spirits as he teased his new business venture with former "The X Factor" contestant Lucy Spraggan.

In the "BGT" promo video posted late last month, Simon sported a smooth complexion, bright white teeth and enhanced features though he had admitted that he no longer has Botox treatments after it left him looking like "something out of a horror film."
