A few weeks earlier, the media mogul sparked concern among his fans with his incredibly unrecognizable appearance in a viral promo video for 'Britain's Got Talent'.

AceShowbiz - Simon Cowell is back on TV screens. The media mogul has made his first live TV appearance after sparking concern among his fans with his incredibly unrecognizable appearance in the "Britain's Got Talent" promo video.

On Wednesday, December 14, the 63-year-old star stopped by ITV's "This Morning" studios for a reunion with "The X Factor" longtime host Dermot O'Leary. He was in good spirits as he teased his new business venture with former "The X Factor" contestant Lucy Spraggan. However, some viewers were left distracted by his looks.

"Wtf has happened to Simon Cowell?! I can't process what I'm looking at?! #ThisMorning," one person tweeted. Another agreed as saying, "Errrrmmmmm who is this person pretending to be Simon Cowell??! #ThisMorning."

Someone else pointed out that it was "shady" of "This Morning" to play a throwback clip of Simon while he was in the studio. "So shady of #ThisMorning to show footage of what Simon Cowell used to look like while they have him on the couch [laughing with tears emoji]."

Simon enjoyed a happy reunion with Dermot, who presented his hit show "The X Factor" for years. During the show, Simon explained whether his ITV show "The X Factor" will ever return to the screens. "One hundred thousand new songs are uploaded everyday at the moment… What would you do differently today?" he said.

"There's a lot I've learned to be honest with you. I think it started to become a bit of a machine," Simon added. "You put a record out that year and you move on, and that's not the way to do it. And when you throw someone into the limelight, it's hard, you know? So look, to be continued…"

Late last month, Simon became the butt of the jokes due to his "melted" face in "BGT" promo video. In the footage, he looked unrecognizable as he sported an incredibly smooth complexion, bright white teeth and enhanced features which could have been a result of cosmetic work.

Fans quickly mocked Simon's bizarre look, with many likening him to Madame Tussauds' waxwork. "It's the waxwork of Simon Cowell in Madame Tussauds…," one person quipped. Someone else joked, "A plastic Simon Cowell figurine that's been left too close to the radiator," while another wondered, "What has happened to his face?"

Earlier this year, Simon admitted that he no longer has Botox treatments after it left him looking like "something out of a horror film." He told The Sun in April, "There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from 'before' the other day, and didn't recognize it as me first of all. Eric [his son] was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero."
